Consultations

A referral is often required prior to your initial consultation as tests may be requested before your visit. This will also help improve your Medicare rebate. Consultations are usually booked in person, but can be over the phone, or as a video appointment, please let reception staff know your preference when booking.

Urinary Tract concerns

Assisting both males and females with lower urinary tract symptoms and incontinence. A varying degree of treatments are available depending on the individual, condition and,  impact on their quality of life.

Enlarged Prostate - BPH

BPH - Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy or Hyperplasia, an enlarged prostate can cause pressure to the urethra and alter the flow of urination. There are a number of medications which help in the symptom control of BPH, and surgery options are available if further treatment is required.

Erectile Dysfunction

Also known as ED, this complaint affects as many as 30 million men, being the most commonly reported male issue to their doctors. You may have discussed with your General Practitioner some medication options, if these aren't satisfactory, there are further options which may include, but not always the only option, Penile Injections, Vacuum Erection Devices or even Penile Implants. 

Procedures

Some procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis at our clinic in Maroochydore. Other procedures need to be done as an inpatient from Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.

Cystoscopy

Available in private rooms under Local Anaesthetic, or in Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, under local or general anaesthetic.

Rezum

A minimally invasive water vapour treatment option for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Robotic Surgery

A minimally invasive, keyhole surgery, used to treat cancerous or benign lesions located in the prostate, kidney or bladder. 

Vasectomy

The most effective method of male sterilisation for those men who are certain they don't want to be a father. Being more than 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, it is a solution that does not interfere with hormone levels, libido or intercourse.
